Spring is closer. April 1st we got our geese back. We think they are the same ones that have come back for the last 4 years. Definitely the same ones from last year. They spend the day up by the girls and take off for the neighbors pond at night. They keep a certain distance but are definitely not alarmed by us. We saw 5 babies last year and 7 each of the previous years. Once they take them for a parade we don't see them again. They take them to the neighbors pond where there is an island in the middle of it.
Snow was almost gone and today we got some rain and wet, soggy, sticky, heavy snow. The kind that wreaks havok on driving and collects then freezes on power lines.
The girls picked up on their egg laying. 24 out of 25 ain't too bad. They never did quit, couple of time of 12 or so but they never completely moulted, just looked shabby.
They are too spoiled to moult completely anyhow.
